Georgina Abela to maltańska piosenkarka i kompozytorka. Tworząc duet z Paulem Giordimaina zgłosiła się do maltańskich preselekcji w 1991 roku z utworem Could it be, i wygrała je pokonując 11 innych wykonawców. W Konkursie Piosenki Eurowizji 1991 w Rzymie duet zajął 6. miejsce z dorobkiem 106 punktów. Georgina jest bardzo popularna w swoim kraju, na Eurowizji pojawiła się również w w chórkach oraz jako kompozytor. Co ciekawe, w preselekcjach w tym roku brał również udział Renato, reprezentujący Maltę w 1975 roku, jednak zajął on 3 miejsce.
